It is important to understand youir credit before seeking a loan or credit card. One on the best websites to find this information is on myfico.com. At this site you can order you credit report from Tranunion and Equifax. Recently, Experian has chosen not to sell their credit files and scores to myfico.com.

It is also important to note that myfico.com is the only site that offers your ACTUAL FICO score. Other sites like, freecreditreport.com sell a score that is not your actual FICO score. From what I understand most Banks use your FICO score as the basis of making their credit decisions so it important to know that if you get a credit score from a website other than myfico.com that you may be looking at different number than what the banks are looking at.
